The staff were all very friendly and given that the hotel is an old building they have done their best to ensure that it is warm and comfortable although the heating in our room did need to be tweeked to make it less airy. I liked that people cannot just walk off the street and into the main sleeping accommodation without a security card. The breakfasts were more than ample. The bathroom was clean and the shower was the best I hae ever experience with both the side sprinklers and overhead. The hotel is just a few steps from the town and river walks and an easy walk from the Railway station.

Gorgeous hotel, really loved our stay here. Beds were extremely comfortable, the room was big with large bathroom. The decor was gorgeous. Felt so relaxed and cosy. Everything was spotless! The restaurant was amazing and would 100% recommend booking a table if staying for the night. Loved how they kept so many original features of the old Court house. Lovely little bar too! Location couldn’t have been better - literately 5 mins into the town centre.

Everything…from arrival in reception we knew we were in for a great weekend. Our room was spotless, warm and welcoming. The property is outstanding and very photogenic. Very good value. It is close to everything…perfect location. We loved breakfast and on Saturday evening we had dinner in the restaurant, it was outstanding. We would like to thank Kirsty and her team…attentive, welcoming, nothing to much trouble and throughout our stay 5 star service.

The room was fantastic, not just in terms of décor but also size and design: lots of plugs, right where they should be (except bathroom but that's a British thing), good towels, good lighting and mirrors, good iron, good desk, Nespresso, free water bottles and cookies...). However, the breakfast was awful, I'd signed up for three mornings and returned two. They do have a great coffee house on the ground floor though.

The historic building was extremely interesting and had been sensitively renovated and turned into a bespoke hotel. The dining room was particularly unique. The room was very clean and the bathroom/ shower was very good. Great location for the Cathedral and Castle, and the staff were all very friendly.
